More information in the Cookie PolicyAitor García is a guitarist born in Barcelona whose hallmark is a warm sound and a subtle expressiveness. Through his way of interpreting music, he draws the listener into an atmosphere full of timbres and colours. These interpretative nuances stem largely from the tradition of the Catalan school of guitar, as his teachers include Àlex Garrobé and Guillem-Pérez Quer.
Aitor has received guidance from leading concert guitarists such as Zoran Dukic, Margarita Escarpa, Pavel Steidl, Ricardo Gallén, Aniello Desiderio, among others.
He has been invited to give concerts at landmark venues in Barcelona, such as the Teatrino del Liceu, l’Auditori, the Palau Güell and the Recinto Modernista de la Torre de les Aigües de Barcelona.
He has taken part in international festivals such as the «Guitarrenfestival Hersbruck» in Germany, the «Vasaros Klavisas» and the «Kretingales Muzikinis Festivalis» in Lithuania, and the «Festival de guitarra Miquel Llobet» in Barcelona.
In 2019 he made his debut in China, giving several recitals in the city of Beijing.
He also carries out important teaching work, both nationally and internationally. On one hand, he is a member of the teaching staff at the Escola Municipal de Castellar del Vallès, as well as of the Castellar de n’Hug Summer Course of Chamber Music, where he has taught chamber music since 2014.
As an internationally active teacher, he has given masterclasses to students from the conservatories of Xi’an and Beijing, in China.
He is regularly invited to serve as a jury member at various international competitions for young performers.
In March 2022 he recorded his first album, «Homenatges», with the record label JSM Records, a project in which the brand Guitarlift also collaborated.
