Sandrine Robilliard

She began her musical studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon, where she won First Prize in Cello and in Chamber Music in 1995 in the class of Robert Duval. In 1997 she obtained the «Diplôme d’État» in cello teaching. Sandrine then came to Barcelona to study cello with Lluís Claret and chamber music with Jordi Mora. She went on to collaborate with orchestras in Catalonia (OBC, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Liceu chamber orchestra…). She also performs regularly with her string quartet «Kale» and with pianist Jordi Armengol, and since 2002 with modern music ensembles. She currently teaches at the music school Ud formación musical, in Premià de Mar and at the Escola Municipal de Nou Barris. She is a member of the «Orquesta de Cuerda del Mundo».

First Prize in Cello and Chamber Music from the Conservatoire de la Région de Lyon under Professor Robert Duval in 1995.

Further training with Alain Brunier. In 1997, «Diplôme d’État» in cello teaching in France. On completing her studies, she moved to Barcelona to study with Lluís Claret at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, where she graduated in performance.

Collaborations in the classical field with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, the Orquestra del Liceu and other ensembles.

Since 2003 she has pursued a career in the Barcelona jazz scene: pianist Guillermo Klein’s Septet, at the Barcelona Jazz Festival in 2016, with Joan Sanmartí, David Mengual, Sergi Sirvent, Gorka Benítez, among others.

Collaborations in various artistic projects involving theatre, circus and film scores, recording on albums by numerous artists such as Marc Egea, Sergi Sirvent, Juliane Heinemann, Rodrigo Palhen, David Mengual, Ramon Prats, Axis Orca.

She currently plays with the quintet UNA, a string quartet with Argentine singer Ana Rossi, and is a member of singer Carola Ortíz ‘s project and POETIC TRÍO.
